Kohler RCA maintenance depends on the model and applicable manual. This reference covers selected TP-7092 instructions for RCA/RCAL equipment with an RDC2 controller; it is not a schedule for every Kohler generator.

Use the time or runtime limit that comes first. This is a partial planning table; the complete schedule includes other inspections and service tasks.

Its 26 kW premium-oil option has a separate interval of two years or 300 hours, tied to the specified extended-life oil in section 4.2.4. Do not apply that option to other oils or models.
Confirm the manual before scheduling work
Record the generator model, specification number, serial number and controller. Ask the servicing dealer to confirm which document and revision apply. Keep that reference with your maintenance record so future work follows the same equipment identification.
The manufacturer’s 26RCA product page provides access to operating and installation documents. Owners of different families should obtain their own matching manuals rather than adapt this table.

Ask for an itemized service proposal. A maintenance-kit price is not a complete service price, and a purchased kit does not establish that every part needs replacement at the same interval. Compare scope using the maintenance cost guide.
Plan for extended outages
An oil-check interval is not an instruction to inspect running equipment. Follow the manual’s shutdown, cooling and accidental-start precautions, with qualified service where required. Fuel availability and required service are separate limits; see extended-outage planning.

How do you record a calendar-or-hours interval?
Record both the next calendar date and the next hour-meter threshold for each Kohler service task, then act when the applicable trigger arrives first. A long outage can bring the hours deadline forward. Keep the manual revision beside the record and review the extended-runtime planning guide before relying on fuel duration alone.
